Nigeria's First Openly Gay Man "Bisi Alimi" Celebrates 10yrs of Living with HIV. . .

Nigeria's mutiple award Gay Right Activist Bisi Alimi, who also became the first Nigerian to publicly declare his sexuality as gay, yesterday May 7th marked ten years of living with the HIV Virus. Bisi sparked a widespread riot in 2004 after he came out on National TV (NTA), During Funmi Iyanda's show "New Dawn," which eventually saw him relocate to the UK where he was granted Asylum. . . Here's wishing Bisi, many more healthy years. He's an intelligible Nigerian, who i deeply respect and have had cause to interact with him severally during my work.
